— How to Reach the WCRA —
We are a small volunteer-run club — please be patient, especially during dig season!

💬 Get in Touch

Whether you'd like to sign up for an upcoming dig, ask a question about a specimen you found in your garden, request a copy of our New Digger Orientation Packet, or just say hello — we'd love to hear from you. We are a small all-volunteer club, so please give us a little time to write back. The fastest way to reach us is by electronic mail.

⚠ PUBLIC NOTICE TO SPAMMERS ⚠

To whomever has been sending us a large volume of penis enlargement & Viagra discount e-mails: Every member of the WCRA is very well endowed and has no problem getting ROCK hard. Please refrain from clogging up our inbox with your advertisements. Thank you!

📧 By Electronic Mail

Our shared club mailbox is wcra.diggers@gmail.com. Both webmasters (Ed and Amy) read it, and we try to respond within 3-5 business days during the digging season (March through November). Off-season responses can take 2-3 weeks — Ed is also a dairy farmer and gets busy during calving.

To help us route your message faster, please use one of these subject lines if it applies:

☔ Weather and Dig-Day Cancellations

If a scheduled dig is cancelled or delayed due to weather, we will post an update on this website by 12:00 noon on dig day — check the home page or the Dig Schedule page before heading out. We will also send an e-mail to everyone who has signed up in advance, so make sure your address is on the list with our secretary.

✉ By U.S. Postal Service

For anything you'd prefer to send on paper — mineral society newsletter exchanges, dues payments by check, hand-drawn maps from old-timers who don't trust e-mail — we keep a P.O. Box at the Hope post office:

W.C.R.A. — c/o Edward Vanderlan, Secretary
P.O. Box 118
Hope, NJ 07844

Ed checks the box once a week, usually Friday afternoons on his way home from the feed store.

📍 Want to Visit a Meeting?

Our regular business meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:30 PM at the Independence Township Grange Hall #237 in Great Meadows. Visitors are welcome — you don't need to be a member to come listen, ask questions, or look at whatever specimens members have brought to share that month. Coffee and Marge's thermos cookies are usually on offer.

If you plan to come for the first time, drop us a quick e-mail so we can watch for you — the Grange Hall is on a back road and it's easier if someone is keeping an eye out by the door.

🚧 UNDER CONSTRUCTION 🚧
We have been talking about adding a web-based contact form here for about six years. Amy says she'll get to it. We have learned not to set a date. For now, please use e-mail. Thank you for your patience.
